Hi. I'm DJ Soul Sister from New Orleans. Some have called me the queen of the rare groove DJs, others call me crazy. Either way, I'm excited to share my thoughts on records, music, 45s, LPs, 12"es, you get the point. Oh yeah, I may talk about myself too. (As of a few weeks ago, all posts are related to Hurricane Katrina-esque ramblings.)

I'm in new orleans now. i came back to work for the sewerage and water board. just got back from driving around the city. visiting homes of myself and relatives to inspect damage. they're saying the city won't really be inhabitable for at least six months. i'm living at the water plant for now. can't wait to see all my people groovin again wherever they may be. stay strong.
